Refugio County Foreclosure Auction FAQ
What is the Refugio County foreclosure auction date?
Refugio County trustee-sale (foreclosure) auctions are held on the first Tuesday of every month, as required by Texas Property Code § 51.002.
Where is the Refugio County foreclosure auction held?
Texas foreclosure auctions are held at the Refugio County courthouse (or the area designated by the county commissioners court), typically between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Confirm the exact location with the Refugio County Clerk before attending — some counties have moved auctions to a courthouse annex or online platform.
How many foreclosure auctions are upcoming in Refugio County?
As of October 21, 2026, no properties are posted yet in the Texas Signals feed for the November 3, 2026 foreclosure sale in Refugio County, Texas. Notices of sale must be filed at least 21 days before the sale (Texas Property Code §51.002), so postings for the November 3, 2026 sale start landing about October 13, 2026 and can be added or withdrawn up to the sale date.
Is there a Refugio County foreclosure auction list I can download or print?
As soon as Refugio County postings appear in the public record they are listed here; a free Texas Signals account adds CSV export and a printable version of the full list.
Are Refugio County foreclosure auctions sheriff sales or trustee sales?
The listings on this page are trustee sales: non-judicial foreclosures under a deed of trust, posted by a substitute trustee and sold on the first Tuesday. Sheriff and constable sales — delinquent-tax judgments and other court-ordered sales — are a separate auction, often held on the same courthouse steps the same morning.
Does this list include bank-owned (REO) properties in Refugio County?
No. This is the list of properties posted for upcoming Refugio County trustee sales — the step before a property becomes bank-owned. A property that draws no third-party bid reverts to the lender after the sale and is later sold as REO through listing agents or auction sites, which this page does not track.
How do I bid at a Refugio County foreclosure auction, and is cash required?
Refugio County trustee sales are held in person at the courthouse, and the Notice of Sale sets the terms. Trustees generally require payment in certified funds or cash soon after the hammer falls, and properties sell as-is, so confirm the payment terms with the trustee named on the notice before you attend.
What is the difference between a Refugio County foreclosure auction and a tax sale?
A foreclosure (trustee) auction enforces a lender's deed of trust and is held on the first Tuesday of the month. A tax sale enforces a taxing unit's delinquent-tax judgment and is run by the constable or sheriff. The county's delinquent-tax pages on Texas Signals cover tax sales separately.
Where is the Corpus Christi foreclosure auction list?
Properties in the Corpus Christi area are sold at the trustee sale of the county they sit in, and this page is the Refugio County list. Corpus Christi addresses that fall in a neighbouring county appear on that county's page instead.
How foreclosure auctions work in Texas
When & where
Texas foreclosure auctions are held on the first Tuesday of every month at the county courthouse (or a designated area), typically between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Substitute trustees call each property in turn.
Cash & deadlines
Winning bidders generally must pay in full — cashier's check or cash — immediately or same day. There is no financing contingency and no inspection period.
Sold as-is
Properties sell as-is with no warranty of title or condition. You bid on the deed of trust being foreclosed; senior liens and taxes may survive the sale. Title research before bidding is essential.
Minimum bid
The opening bid is usually the lender's judgment or payoff amount. Some properties draw no third-party bids and revert to the lender (become REO).
Do your homework
Confirm the sale is still active, drive the property, and pull title. In Refugio County, verify details with the county clerk and the substitute trustee named in the Notice of Sale.
Data as of 2026-10-21, compiled from public foreclosure-sale records. Auction dates, addresses, and minimum bids can change or be cancelled before the sale — always confirm with the county and the substitute trustee before bidding.
