When are foreclosure auctions held in Texas?
Texas foreclosure (trustee) sales are held on the first Tuesday of every month, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the county courthouse area the commissioners court designates (Tex. Prop. Code § 51.002). When the first Tuesday is January 1 or July 4, the sale moves to the first Wednesday. The next sale day is November 3, 2026.

What is the first Tuesday foreclosure sale in Texas?

Are tax sales the same as foreclosure auctions?
No. Delinquent-property-tax sales are court-ordered sheriff or constable sales, often held the same first-Tuesday morning at the same courthouse, but they follow a tax judgment rather than a deed of trust and can carry a redemption period for the former owner.
